 St. Dominic Savio Church and Retreat Center in
Bass Lake serves the residents of Bass Lake and
surrounding areas, as well as our guest visitors,
particularly in the summer months.
Our newly upgraded Conference Center and
Kitchen/Dining Refectory buildings offer perfect
surroundings for Days of Recollection, One day
Retreats, Family functions, Meetings, and Prayer
Services.
Our recently upgraded Grotto boasts of a beautiful
contemplative Grotto in honour of St. Theresa of
Lisieux, with exterior Stations of the Cross woven
throughout the property surrounding the Grotto.
In the early 50's Mass was held at the Old Pines with about 20 people attending. In the summer
Mass was held at Camp St. Theresita, which was
adjacent to the property the church now sits on.
The church itself was built in 1960 with mostly volunteers; in 1966 the outside seating was added
allowing people to sit inside or outside. The
church offers a beautiful view of the mountains
and towering pines. A peaceful setting for worship,
peace and contemplation. |

Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Please call the Parish office if weather is questionable.
