Religious Education


  • Adoration on First Fridays: 8:30am till 12:30pm

            All are invited to spend some time before the Blessed Sacrament to adore, thank,                

 petition and reconcile with Jesus in Eucharist

  • Altar Servers

            Men, women, boys and girls who have received First Communion are invited to share in the Ministry of Service at the altar to assist the priest in the celebration of Mass and other liturgical functions.

  •  Baptismal Preparation

            Personnel to help prepare parents and sponsors for the baptism of children as well as liturgical baptismal leader to assist in welcoming , obtaining information and assisting in the baptism ceremony.

  • Bereavement

            Personnel to receive and assist families in  preparing  for church services and prayer for deceased members of the parish. 

  • Collection Counters

            Adults to assist in counting and recording weekend collections

  • Eucharistic Ministers

Adults with a special devotion for the Eucharist to help with the administration of Eucharistic Communion at parish Masses and adults with equal love for the homebound to assist in bringing communion at the homes of those who are unable to attend Masses for periods of time due to sickness or other incapacity. 

  • Finance Council

            Adults willing to assist the pastor in advisory capacity concerning the financial and material responsibilities of the parish

  •  Liturgical committee

            Adults willing to be trained to oversee the liturgical life of the parish under the guidance of the pastor

  •  Liturgical Environment

            Adults and families wishing to help set up the seasonal décor of sanctuary and church areas at various times of the year.

  •  Liturgical Music

            For all ages:  singers, cantors, directors and instrumentalists with a desire to serve the musical needs of the parish liturgy in various celebrations of the Church.

  • Lectors

            Confirmed adults with a love for the Scriptures and a basic knowledge of public speaking to serve as readers in liturgical ceremonies of the Church

  •  Maintenance/Repair Volunteers

            Adults and families willing to use skills in trades and assist in helping maintain the physical plant of the Church: much of this work is done on Wednesdays each week.

  •  Marriage Preparation

            Adults to assist couples preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony, introducing them to the requirements of the Church and the various appointments with the pastor as well as the final preparations for the Wedding Ceremony

  •  Parish Pastoral Council

            Men and women to serve in advisory capacity to the pastor to assist him in leading the parish to fulfill the spiritual and social goals established by a sound parish vision.

  •  Prayer Chain

            Persons willing to serve in contact with and/or pray for the many needs of parishioners

  •  Religious Education

            Adults with sound knowledge of the faith wanting to participate in the sharing of that faith in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and the teaching of faith to the children of the parish in preparation for reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation)

  •  Ushers

            Adults to welcome and see to the needs of worshippers at varied liturgical functions.
